Wasn't the 500L the original "Multipla" ?

The 'original' 500L was the luxury (L = "Lusso", the Italian for luxury) model of the nuova 500, an updated version that had interior hinges, an updated dash and other upgraded trim bits.

I say 'original' in inverted commas because what people call the "original 500" was actually the "new" 500 of its time.....new compared to the true original 500 of the 1930s and 1940s, the Topolino, so-called because it looked like Mickey Mouse (stickey-out ears as headlights)

The original Multipla was the 600 Multipla of the 50s and 60s.

Well there you have it 8)

Is there anything you don't know about Fiats Helen ?

I have seen a fue about now not keen ... why couldn't they make a 600 like the original not a fat 500 , like the current mini people will buy whatever they put the badge on witch is a good thing for fiat really I guess.

Saw one in a showroom and it looks better in the metal than in pictures.... Still not really an object of lust, but...

One of the marmite cars for me - love or hate it. I don't mind the style of the modern mini's and it's slightly more practical. Depends on your needs I guess.

I think they should have called it the 600 but I don't think Joe public would have understood the relevance.
