Over the weekend a discussion broke out about having a UK Cento meet, similar to what they do in many other countries like centomania / Centozlot in Poland.

The idea would be to bring all the different cento clubs and forums together and show off as many centos as possible.

I don't know the first thing about organising venues etc for such an event, so the more input we can get on the idea the better.

I have yet to post the idea on other forum, although others may have already.

:D

This is one of the Polish meets... I think we have enough Cento's and Centoholics in the UK to rival such an event 8)

Good idea, perhaps worth giving this an airing at the AGM, I can help with venue arrangements etc. I will stress it would be to help not organise it as I have too many other events to sort, might be an idea to get one or two people from each club/forum to be an organising committee.

would be cool if we could fill a multi story car park  no organising just arrive and pay and just ask the carpark to keep a couple of floors clear

That would be great Andre, I will have a think as to the best way to arrange it and like you say try to get a committee together from all the clubs.

Craig, i was thinking somewhere a bit nicer than a multistory car park

I think a more central location might attract more people, a venue such as a place of interest/ museum etc. might be more desirable where there is something else to look at as well.

I'm up for this and could probably get a couple of others as well. When I was in the Fiat Owners Club we used to have a meeting at Donington Park that always had good attendance. There's the museum, the track, plenty of show area, as well as a huge part of the old Melbourne loop that's been used in the past as a test track and round the corner there's the aeropark. All within 5 mins of the M1 (junction 23a) and lots of B&B's in the area.
