after a great weekend at spa we are now at nurburg and some of us have already done 10 laps!

Bravo is holding up well, we also have several Pandas, a 500, Grande Punto and another Bravo, not forgetting a super cool Tipo Sedicivalvole

it all adds up Lee

what i will have spent, possible to do it for less if you share rooms, take ferry etc

basic costs
eurotunnel €130
adac cover €82
green card €20

a tank of fuel either way

spaitalia costs at http://www.spaitalia.be - track sessions for grande parade were a reasonable €70
i had track time both days

then on to the ring:
4 lap card is €95, i have done 8 laps
for this i used a tank of fuel

accomodation has cost me €400 for the week, 6 nights so a reasonable €50 per night
as i said it is possible to shave this down if sharing

additional costs:
food and beers
t shirts

so the week will have cost me approx €1200 or €200 per day
i think if you budgeted you could easily do sub €1000 for a week

these euro trips were much cheaper only 5 years ago, exchange rates and cost of fuel...

another 5 laps complete today and was properly 'on it' there was nothing left in either my ability or the car

a couple of moments as anyone that knows me would expect! but no real dramas as the car is so composed and forgiving

i now know genuinely what a 10 minute lap feels like and trust me you really need to be 'committed' to tackle the nurburgring at this pace

car and driver tired but satisfied...

mission accomplished, now having a few warsteiners and steak on a stone at the Pistenklause - essential part of the Nurburgring experience :dancin:

would love to come here with you guys and one of my Cinquecento

edit : forgot to add preparation and wear and tear on the car
this can easily double the above number

and if you get it wrong or get caught up in someone elses accident the costs can be 'life changing'
i would recommend that you rent a track car, costs here are reasonable and insurance included subect. to €2500 excess
a great company is rent4ring based in Nurburg

your first trip wont be your last

on average i have come here every other year since first visit, the atmosphere is unique and you can feel the heritage

there are problems with the ownership and operation at the ring, in government hands again now
i am amazed this place still operates in the way that it does with zero safety briefings but it is unique as i said!
