The other day I thought the red silicone pipe that is 8mm and runs from the top of the expansion tank to the front of the throttle body looked faded and tired.
Even though it is in good condition and not tired, I think I was just looking for an excuse to buy some more Samco hose.
I thought there is too much red in the engine bay and seeing as there is also alot of blue in there what other colours could I go for?
Seeing as the car is red, white and blue white was the obvious choice.
So £22.62 later I have a meter length of Samco's finest white and blue 8mm hose and then quickly changed over the hose.
Looks much better and freshens it up a bit more. :D and also I have enough left over to do the pipe work on the heater matrix three way split.

Well not having loads of money to spend is a bummer and I am sure we are all at this stage at some point or other.
But I was looking at my roll of blue carbon wrap and a few plastic Cinquecento bits and thought might as well give them a spruce up.
The panel is off the dash and the other is the screen wash bottle lid.
You are thinking "Why has he put a bolt through it?" Well I have ordered a part that inspired me by Black Box so thank you mate :)
I hope get the part this week so you will have to wait and see.

Well here we have it, a bit of fun added to the engine bay.
Thanks to Black Box having one of these as a gear knob which is its true job I thought I would have it as the lid on my screen wash bottle.
You know getting the lid off sometimes is not always easy pulling off your finger nails off at times.
I thought having the ball bolted with washers through the standard lid would give you more to grip to.
But as you can see simple but affective and looks good.

Well here we go again with more Samco related stuff yeah I know and no I don't have shares in their company lol.
I bought 3 meters of white hose off eBay for £8 and free postage which is always good.
I thought seeing as I have replaced most of the stock Fiat pipes why not do the washer pipe for the front screen.
Nice and easy this job and only takes about 15 minutes to do and that finishes this hose update. :D

Thanks Neal I plan to get some snaps and videos of PEX next year.
Cinquecento for sale? eBay would most likely be the place to look but they are getting few.
I bought PEX four years ago for £550 but if you want a winter project buy one that needs work. (Not rusty) and strip it out then rebuild how you want it.
Track car is easy as all you need is the shell, rearbeam, steering rack, wishbones and gearshifter and gearbox the rest you change to what you want.
That's what mine is, very little left that was Cinquecento factory fitted.

Well I got my "powered by Abarth" sticker today and unlike any of the other decals that I have on PEX which show what parts I have used like AVO suspension decal as I have an AVO set up.
I don't have anything Abarth on the car let alone powered by Abarth but I wanted something to put in the engine bay and this was what tugged my rug.
I thought it looked best on my carbon bob so that's where I put it. :D
Not being funny though not may Cinquecento are powered by Abarth unless bodykit trim does it lol.

Well I felt like a change with my speedo surround and change from blue carbon to white carbon.
I have just done a set for Em on this forum in blue and I have ordered a new set of Lockwood dials in blue as my old white dials have gone yellow.
I am waiting for them arrive so I can change them around and I hope these will contrast well as PEX is these colours.
I also added these Martini race stripes and logo to match PEX's exterior.

Cheers Pete, the new dial kit arrived today so I took the next 30 minutes fitting it to the clocks and then combined it with the dial surround that I did yesterday and here is it finished.
I am happy that it has turned out to what I wanted. :D
