Hi all,

I am new around here....I have just bought a 1996 Cinquecento 900 SX for my daughter and need some advice. It has what seems is the "normal" crunch in and out of 3rd gear (can be stopped by double de clutching or very slow changes). Guessing this is likely to be sync rings in the gearbox?

How big a job is this to do....does anyone have a "how to guide" and where is the best place for parts? I have never done a gearbox rebuild/refurb so looking for as much help as I can get!

Thanks all

Chris

I'd say probably best to leave it be less you are really keen to get your hands dirty, my first 900 had the same common crunch an it went on for 10,000's miles.

But other people with more knowledge might tell you different, so don't listen to me if they do!
