Are they meant to fit like crap?

I got one and it sits hard up against the sound deadening matting, doesn't clear the battery , so need a new one of those, and also I will need to relocate the map sensor and little fuse box attached to the ecu bracket. If I knew it was going to be so bad, I would have just made one myself.

Is this how they normally are?

If you've got an original sized battery you can usually undo the clamp and slide it back enough.
The fuse cover does need removing and the MAP sensor bracket bending slightly, if I remember right.

No idea about the battery. Fits the tray ok ! I did shuffle it back, but still no joy. Thought I got a bargain strut brace, but not really if I need to but a new battery to fit it. But loathed to buy a new battery as it was new when I got the car a year ago.

I'm used to Japanese cars when you buy something and it actually fits!!!!

i'm toying with the idea of fitting some telescopic poles to various points to see what movement I get between the suspension turrets etc. Some kind of moveable marker (o-ring or plastic tube) that gets pushed along the smaller pole when the fixing points get closer together.
