Hello Everyone,

Im Dan 33 from Leeds. Just picked up a red Y ref Seicento Sporting MPI 1242 with the Abarth bits on.

Had a Sei sporting back when I was a teenager in 1999 and a Cinquecento SX before that.

I'll get some pics up when I can, it's a bit tatty innplaces, it's been delocked poorly and the central locking relay is missing sonjave a few jobs to do.

Great forum by the way.

Dan

Thanks for the welcome :-)

Yeah the guy who was selling it wasnt in any rush to sell it. Was owned by a garage owner who also builds track toys.

Once the doors are sorted and sprayed, new exhaust as the sportex one sounds crap then it will be about there and ready for some more mods.

Few niggles... handbrake light comes on now and then when going over bumps... a bad earth I assume, and the rev counter doesnt work, but I am thinking about building an LCD one using a microcontroller.

I will get some more pics up when I have had time to wash it .

hi and welcome, for the handbrake light check the switch under the lever is positioned correctly before searching for a short.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Heres a picture..

Thanks for the heads up on the handbrake switch, that was an easy fix. I also have a paint restoration kit which I will be using in the next few days weather permitting.

Also got a ported and polished head coming next week, so that will be getting cleaned up and fitted. Then I need to get my hands on one of those 'tricker' type throttle bodies.

last year I added a 40mm Tricker TB and GSR induction kit, the difference from 5k to 6.5k was quite impressive. Just added a Supersprint back box but it hasn't made much difference so maybe the head ports, exhaust ports/manifold, or center exhaust section is the limiting factor now.
