There is a large gap over the door lock and I want to move the strip rearwards so it covers that area.

I tried but only made a mess and it's didn't budge.

Is is a window out job?

Thanks.

old thread I know, I think they just moved this forum to the plebs area :)

if the same as the sei, and you are talking about the exterior rubber, that strip is in two parts, the upper rubber and lower plastic parts.

I had an issue of the rubber part coming away in the middle, and I could not get it to re-seat by pressing in that area, I had to totally remove the rubber bit, then lubricate with either fairy or silicon spray, and then feed it in from the mirror end and slide it all the way along, feeding it in into the profile as I went. This would also allow you to slide it to the doorlock end (leaving the gap at the mirror end I guess).

Thanks.

I just saw this now, 6March. This site didn't send me the new post notification email.
