Hi Guys,

Managed to get my rear bumper brackets off, given them a good rub down with a wire brush and a coating of Krust which seems to have worked wonders. Ive also coated them in hammerite to keep the rust at bay.

For reference you can still buy one of the brackets new from Fluffy, but not the one with the tow hook :(

Now i need to refit them but the original bolts are shot, can anyone advise me what size i need?

im a noob on jobs like this but chuffed with my self for getting the brackets off :mrgreen:

although if you needed the other side couldnt you buy another one of this side and drill the holes in the other side :?:

Pretty sure you need a 13mm socket, so M8 x 25mm bolts.

You probably could but then you wouldnt have the tow hook

Why would you want to tow a car backwards plus if you have a abarth rear bumper its covered anyway

To pull it out of a garage / ditch / dead end if it's stuck, or to use the towing eye to pull something else?
